SIMOTION Kernel
Various execution levels (tasks) allow to process the program blocks in different ways, without requiring any programming expenditure by the operator.
SIMOTION assumes the call-up, coordination / synchronization and monitoring of program blocks
In addition to the high-performance functions for I/O handling, logic and calculation, program control, timer and communication, SIMOTION features a high-performance runtime system.
The Motion Control system SIMOTION is based on high performance CPUs comprising a real time operating system suitable for high-speed control processes. The user program can be processed at different execution levels (tasks). This task system provides the advantage that the user programs executed at the relevant task levels can be processed almost in parallel. In addition, the system provides execution levels which are synchronous to the drive control cycle resp. isochronous PROFIBUS/PROFINET. Clock synchronism is thus provided throughout the entire application (User program ? Drives ? I/Os). This results in short response times and superior reproducibility of the application.
The runtime system supports PLC, technological and Motion Control tasks and provides different tasks.
